Education-130 Out of School Children

Start Date: 22-04-2021
End Date:

MD International as an organization with the mission to provide relief and support across the globe started a campaign to support the education of out-of-school children. Around 258 million children and adults are out of school in the world, deprived of their fundamental education rights. Sustainable development goal 4 ensures inclusive and equitable education and promotes lifelong learning opportunities for All.

Unfortunately, 22.8 million children are out of school in Pakistan which is the second-highest in the world and the highest number in South Asia.

MD International joined hands with Teach a Kid Make Individual Life, TAKMIL (Canada) to support the education of out-of-school children in remote regions of Pakistan. This campaign has successfully raised funds to support two projects in Pakistan located in remote regions of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the far-flung village of Mirpurkhas, Sindh. These projects will provide learning opportunities to over 130 children who have never been to school in life and will be provided literacy of primary level and above through an innovative accelerated and hybrid model of education developed by TAKMIL. MD International’s contribution is part of a greater mission “No Child Left Behind”!

Here are few photographs of these remote regions schools and children:
